Since I love Devonshire Tea & reading I decided to give this book a go when I was perusing the shelves at my local library. Included at the end of the book are tea time tips and recipes for the delicious meals that Hayley made throughout the book for the various functions that Theodosia & Drayton host.
This was the first book that I read written by Laura Childs and I was impressed. I was drawn in from the opening chapter as the reader is drawn into a Jewel Heist straight away that has a tragic outcome as jewel thieves smash their way into Heart's Desire and steal priceless gems that were on loan to Brooke, one of Theodosia's friends.
Brooke asks Theodosia to investigate the robbery and I don't want to add spoilers so you will have to read the book to find out the tragedy that unfolds.
Follow Theodosia on her mystery solving adventures, it's a scream!
I recommend this book, and I would like to read the other books in the Tea Shop Mystery series.
